Use DVD- or DVD+ for PS2 games?

Cause I used a DVD-: Make Image from the game and patched it with a .ppf. But when I burn it and test on my PS2, it didn't work.

DVD+R lets you add data if you don't finalise the disk after a burn.

DVD-R has to be finalised on the first burn.

Use DVD-R.

strange. Then i used DVD-R an the burn was successful. However when I load it to my PS2, it shows "Please insert a PS2 disc". What can be wrong? I was using Acholo 120% to burn the CD.

I always use -R's and have never had any problems. Any backups work first time every time (without patching).

If yours aren't working, I guess there is something wrong with your modchip or patching process.

Try using a -RW first. Saves you wasting disks.

Defently a DVD- because for one there alot better than DVD+ in quality etc.

Well i wouldnt say that is true, but DVD- do cost more than DVD+ all i know is that DVD+ are better in quality.

I use DVD+ for all my PS2 games and DVD movies. I've never had a problem and never had to use any patches.

I allways set my DVD+'s booktype to DVD-ROM when I burn though.

I chatted with someone else in MSN, he recommended me to use DVD Decrypter. And now with DVD- ... it works!

Strange ... if DVD- cost more than + ... yet + has better quality ... why will people still use -?

Lads.. lads... you clearly don't know the difference between DVD+R and DVD-R.

Don't you think there are different qualities of +R and -R? Use yer head.

DVD- are geared towards set top boxes such as DVD, XBOX, PS2....

they are way more compatible...

try using nero and just burn the image your trying to do instead of alcohol 120%

plus if its a DL disc you wil need a new BIOS on chip or a patched game
