alfadon
We put in a Spam Firewall. Its hardware based it runs seperate of the Exchange server. Its has done wonders for us. A hardware based solution is better. Im not exactly sure how much it cost but i believe it was less than $500 US. I think the name of it is Baracuda Spam Firewall. I dont know much about software solutions. try www.msexchange.org a great website for exchange. MazX_Napalm
IMF - free from MS. Good as a starting point. Sophos PureMail. Sybari (I use their AV on exchange, but they also do a spam catcher) I good idea is to get your mail sent through a "clearing house". They check for viruses, spam, porn ...... You don't have to worry about updating the software either. They also have huge databases of spam mail, so it should be more efficient than your server "learning" what is spam. beacon
IMF and Outlook 2003 first choice. If you need something better than that i would go Surf Control over any other spam filter or message labs for a managed service. +orgitnized Subscriber¹ Posted May 29, 2005 Subscriber¹ Share Posted May 29, 2005 Used to use Sybari, but switched to GFI MailEssentials and MailSecurity for a number of different reasons. I do wonder what the path is for Sybari/Microsoft these days. MazX_Napalm
Sybari works well as an AV on EX 2K3. Haven't used the spam filter yet. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/324470-exchange-server-spam/#findComment-585984892 Share on other sites
