use router as wireless bridge?

I have an xbox.. is it possible for me to buy a Linksys BEFW11S4 802.11b router and somehow hook it up to my xbox and have it wirelessly be connected to my other wireless router is upstairs?

why don't you just buy a Wireless bridge instead of another router. The BEFW11S4 is really old. It doesn't even support G.

you can't make a BEFW11S4 a wireless bridge. It's firmware doesn't support it. Even the hacked firmwares don't support the BEFW11S4. They all support the WRT54G. The sveasoft alchamy firmware gives you Repeater Support but again it's not compatible with the BEFW11S4.

even for 50.00 if the thing can't do what you're asking it's price is moot.

You can buy the Linksys Game Adapter and it'll do the same thing. It's designed for XBOX/PS2.
