Ok I'm working on a rather large update. I have decided to make a small taskbar version (thanks to dazzlas thread explaining some things) Also I believe I will use a bitmap for the start button (with the other flag) and I am going to hunt down and destroy that resizing bug :D And there may or may not be another color added.

I'm debating whether to call it 5.0 once finished, but I think I will...

Thats what I'm leaning towards, though I'd never use it myself. But then again, I dont use anything other than ergonomic anymore :)

Thats sweet binary. But, I would keep the more modern flag... as microsoft would have updated the flag to the new one if they kept building it.

i think the one used in watercolor 2257 was the best looking.

can you post a ss?

binary, you got any im clients? i really wanna get this page up in time for that update. i have reliable, fast hosting and would be able to serve out the skin and other app skins aswell. if you got all the other exe, i can even make an archive and an update history.

Or just patch your uxtheme.dll with a hacked one, which will let you use these themes.

or that :p

Thanks dysektor for correcting me :)

No problem, Space Guy. They both work though. Just that I don't want another program on my system if I can hack some files to receive the same result. :)

binary... maybe you can make the menu highlights all look like the ones when you open the "all programs" in the start menu. GreyBase does it and it looks quite nice.

huh?

oh and I will prolly be updating the shellstyles for the 5.0 release. But remember it's gonna take some time sine I'm working now. So I'd appreciate it if people didnt "bug" me about it ;) It should be done within a week or two.

Toxikk, if I make the menus that way then the startmenu looks ugly, cause the highlight color for the logoff and shutdown buttons will be different.

Could we see a screenie of how the start menu would look if it were done that way?... menus with the outline seem really nice to me... >.<
