The MAC filtering is the best line of defense against preventing someone from getting in, but the traffic can still be sniffed allowing someone interested to find out what you're doing online.

I have a WRT54G with SSID broadcasting off, MAC filtering, and 128-bit WEP encryption.  I tried WPA-PSK but I don't think my TrueMobile 1180 802.11b WLAN CF card supports WPA...:(  Am I still fairly secure?

for the most part, i would still change my wep key every month or so. i have a Aironet (cisco) 802.11b card that doesnt support WPA, so 128-bit wep is the highest i can go as well.
