sorry for replying in here

since i dont even own a ipod nor do i have any solution

but dint knew i pods had such problems too

i mean they stick to only 1 computer is it ?

and any solution found yet

No you CAN sync iPods with more than one computer, but there are a few settings you have to change first.

If the iPod was already erased then the chances of recovering any data are slim to none. As I say to everyone, the iPod is not the only place to have your music, have some sort of backup somewhere. Unless shes willing to pay a couple thousand to have it professionallly recovered.... theres no solution

my friend connected her ipod to a new computer and it synced with her empty itunes library... oops

she doesnt have access to the machine she originally got it off of

any free software solutions?

This means that the songs from the iPod are deleted. You can try running some software that can recove deleted files. Theoriticaly, it should work if nothing was written over the files.
