Q2DE enabling permanently

I want to permanently enable Q2DE, but the plist file is currently read only. How can I change the owner or whatever on it so I can edit it?

You can change it from the Get Info window. You MIGHT have to be logged in as Root, which you can enable in NetInfo Manager.

Can you feedback with your results if you get it enabled, there must be a reason why Apple have disabled it, I believe it is terrible at text rendering but not sure.

i permanently enabled QD2X and noticed a performance increase in popping up windows, menus etc. I havnt noticed any text rendering problems on my system. All works well :)
