Once you get the computer up, go to your system tools and look under your computer's management console for errors your computer is giving out (hardware, software, etc.). That may point you to your problem.

My first guess is that your video card is giving out, but lots of other things could be causing this too.....

hmm i seem to consistently get some DCOM error

DCOM got error "The service database is locked. " attempting to start the service winmgmt with arguments "" in order to run the server:

the fix on microsoft is to increase system ram? :blink:

hmm i suspect the graphics card too. i had some red screen a few days ago and now this. its running stock although i did overclock it a little some time back.
