Mac and Bluetooth mouse

I decided to get a Wireless mouse for my iMac, its the one made by Apple. Anyhow when I wake the computer from sleep it takes a while before it gets recognized. ...is there any way to fix this I don't want to wait this long?

my specs

iMac G5 17" everything is stock, I added a USB D-Link bluetooth adapter.

i just click three times for it to get recognized.

Mine is similar to Amnesia, I hold my mouse button down and should make the recognition much faster.

i think the same thing happens with my powerbook with the trackpad...
