Which design is better?

For the past couple of weeks I have been making a new design template for my personal website.

I want to know from you guys, which design is better?

v.1 - http://users.bigpond.net.au/cable

v.2 - http://users.bigpond.net.au/cable/v2

As I said in a lower post, I have modified v.2 to make it use space more effectively - but for now, I will leave up v.1 - the winner of the poll.

I will choose the design that wins the poll as the default, so ultimately it is up to you.

i like design one... not as fancy, but better use of space imho...

of course it would be even better if you had Arsenal included in that poll.....

I agree with your comment on the use of space - v.1 uses space alot better.

Thanks for replying everyone,

I have actually modified v.2 to make it effectively use more space on screens above 800x600 and still remain compatible.

I'll put up the new version tonight or early tomorrow, but for now I will leave it as v.1 :)
