You can give it a try! Have do seen what will pop-up when you install it manually? Looking for the plugin directory..... Do a few tests!

ive got the flash modules pretty much done already. im including both the ie/aol and the mozilla/firefox/opera/netscape versions.

ive just got to fiddle around a little to get the msi installers working silently. at the moment they keep flashing up help boxes listing command switches.

you (all translaters) will be able to grab the modules from the new translation packs when there released.

note, to legally redistribute the macromedia players, you cant just download from the normal links, you have to register for a 1yr redistribution agreement, but dont worry it easy and doesnt require much personal info at all.

ill add the info in a new copy of the transSetupFiles document.

the great thing about doing this, apart from covering your ass, is that you get a nice personal link to redistributable copies of all the software. and im pretty sure the yahoo toolbars arent added to these either.

Advice:

Better that you wait for the September Release!

When are we to expect the September release?

Sweet app by the way! I'm a tech who has to load WinXP a lot as there are too many of my clients that can't seem to get their fill of spyware & viruses! It's damn nice to be able to install 60 or 70-some updates without all the rebooting!

Well downloading from there as I write, won't allow dl managers, so it's dl at 18.5kb currently :(

All I saw were August releases... I normally use the torrents as they are faster for me. Nonetheless, I didn't see anything that said September except an "Autopatcher_August..." file that had a September file date. I can dump an "Autopatcher_August..." file on my FTP site and give it a September file date. :(

Either I'm not looking in the correct area, or somebody forgot to name the file correctly.

Hello all! I am new to AutoPatcher (excellant idea, BTW) and have a question.

I recently did a new Windows XP Home install and used AutoPatcher. It seemed to install everything, but when I then went to Windows Update site, it (the Update site) thought that SP2 still needed to be loaded.

Am I correct in assuming that SP2 should have been installed by AutoPatcher? If so, anyone know what went wrong?

Also, a suggestion: Anyway to save the various options selected so that the next time you use AutoPatcher, you could get the same options and NOT have to select them all over again?

Thanks in advance!

The question:

The answer

AutoPatcher doesn't install ServicePack 2. You should install Service Pack 2 by yourself and after that you should use AutoPatcher. A few hotfixes and updates are only available for SP2. If you install SP2 now and you go to Windows Update Service you'll see that you need more updates. Don't worry, they are included in AutoPatcher.

The question:

Also, a suggestion: Anyway to save the various options selected so that the next time you use AutoPatcher, you could get the same options and NOT have to select them all over again?

The answer:

Now, when you made you selections and want to use the same selection again the next time when you want to use AutoPatcher you have to do only two things after making the selections.

Hold down the <Shift> key and move your mouse over the button Module information......and see what will happen.....you can save the settings that you just made

    • Yeah, this is absolutely nothing new and EA have done it before. Burnout Paradise, released in 2008, had dynamic advertising billboards that were updated via the internet and targeted people based on location and what EA knew about them from their profile. It was particularly notable for the fact that the Obama presidential campaign ran ads in the game, in an attempt to reach a younger audience who didn't watch broadcast TV any more. It was by no means the first though. Battlefield 2142 from 2006 had the same thing. In fact, Neowin wrote a story about it back then. https://www.neowin.net/news/ba...-in-game-ads-clarification/
    • This is obviously aimed at the education where Apple has lost so much ground to Chromebooks in the last few years, but unless they come up with a comparable management system for education why would anyone switch back?
    • Here's how we arrived at that claim: Note that this is just Play Store downloads. The app is also available on the Galaxy App Store
    • Google Play states the app had more than 50 million downloads. What other metric do you suggest should be used?
