Scibbers
I have a Microsoft wireless router (model MN-500), which is about 1 and a half years old. It was working fine untill about 2 months ago, when it started randomly cutting off internet service. Every hour or so, it cuts out for about 10 minutes or so (can be fixed faster by rebooting the router). I can still ping the router, access the config page, and it says that it still is connected to the internet (so I am pretty sure that its my router and not my ISP) Is there anything that I can do to fix this? I have the latest firmware and drivers, etc from microsoft. I would just throw it away (well, try some hacks with it) and get a new one, but I only need it for 2 more months.... JMoney
Had the exact same problem. The router is going bad, you can do like I did and call microsoft multiple times then sit on hold for a while, in which the router will then start working again and the support people will tell you that they cant replace it until its not working. Or you can bypass all that and go out and purchase a netgear or linksys router. I would choose the latter.
