Question
MulletRobZ
Earlier today, I gave my FTP server (Serv-U 4.1) a test drive for the first time in a while and unfortunately, I am stuck! I have an ADSL modem, but it is connected to a router (D-Link DI-704UP) so I could have both computers in the household hooked up to the Internet. As a result, the FTP server thinks the IP address is some 192.168.x.x while the IP address detected by any site accessed on Mozilla Firefox is something else. So I typed in the computer's IP in the domain field and the Firefox IP under PASV. When I tried doing a user login, I always got an error saying the login is incorrect when it should be. Then I tried anonymous mode and it appears to simply hang. The FTP Server says it's logged in, but nothing comes up in Firefox nor SmartFTP.
I was wondering if there is a way in order to fix this problem. If there is, please let me know because there are some people I know of who need to access a large amount of files off my computer pretty soon.
Kind of weird that it worked fine without a router and now with the router, it doesn't?
Thanks in advance.
