ndiswrapper-0.9.1.tgz , and my needed sys and inf file in my /home/prometheus directory.

Could someone please !! please Please!! guide me from there how to setup ndiswrapper and make my wireless pci adapter work.

More Info:

Please dont try to contact me on AIM , OR ICQ only msn due to linux and im on my dads computer my linux right now has no internet and its in my room my goal is to get it to have internet by the end of this week or i will have to go back to windows.

EDIT :

i currently found a way but when i do modprobe i keep getting an error:

Fatal : Error inserting ndiswrapper (/bib/modules/2.6.10.-5-86/kernel/drivers/net/ndiswrapper/ndisprapper.ko) Operation not permited

I followed a guide :

https://wiki.ubuntu.com/HowToSetUpNdiswrapp...8ndiswrapper%29

It said It says : Call "sudo modprobe ndiswrapper" to install the needed module.

PLease could someone help me

I currently have done all the steps up till modprobe which doesnt work.

Launch synaptic or whatever package management tool you prefer

Install the package "ndiswrapper-utils"

Call "sudo ndiswrapper -i foobar.inf" where foobar.inf is the path to your inf-file (windows wireless-lan driver).

Call "sudo modprobe ndiswrapper" to install the needed module.

Now you can set up your working Wlan device under Desktop->Administration->Networking

Dont forget to type "ndiswrapper -m" if you want to load it at startup automatically

Use the Networking tool to configure networking on the new interface, or edit /etc/network/interfaces by hand to your liking.
