Fable: Lost Chapters confirmed for Xbox

Recommended Posts

July 8, 2005 - Microsoft Game Studios announced that the enhanced version of Lionhead's bestselling action RPG entitled Fable: The Lost Chapters will be landing on the Xbox this fall. The title was already in development for the PC and is an estended version of the Xbox game that includes heaps of new content.

Remember all of the locked doors, dead ends, and rumored quests in the original release? Well, Fable: The Lost Chapters opens up many of those areas and is one third longer than the original game. It includes an entire new land featuring the elusive dragon long thought to be hidden in the original release. Gamers will also experience new spells, armor, weapons, enemies, and expressions.

The question likely to be on everyone's mind is how this content will be made available. Microsoft currently has plans to release the game as a Platinum Hits title for the suggested retail price of $19.99. This is a joyous announcement for those who have never set foot in Albion, but the purchase may be a tough call for people who already bought the first game for full price.

33.3% is a much needed improvement but i still think it is too short, because i think fable has the replayability advantage over many other rpgs and that it could be drastically improved if the game was more consuming and needed more time and effort to complete.

Hopefully fable 2 will have those improvements!

Should be offered free to the people that already shelled out the cash for the game on the Xbox (or a small fee with access offered via Xbox live). Not that that would affect me in any way since I don't own an Xbox, but I mean, it IS more like what the game SHOULD have shipped with rather than some kind of expansion to the game.

Plus, even with it coming to the PC I don't think I'll be getting it.
