So I thought, why just sit here and let my mouth do the talking when I can actually point out some bug so you can fix it at version 1.5...so I decided to point out some bugs that you should fix for the new release

1)

go6vl.jpg

That is suppose to be the "Go" button. A bug? I would say yes...

2)

gray4dv.jpg

The gray part area highlighting the Applegeek Text I believe should be 1pxl lower so the text looks centered

3)

size2yj.jpg

My question is why is the Favour button so much bigger than let's say the Stop or the refresh button?

4)

tab4wo.jpg

Here is a big one...that tab...yeah. 'Nuff said?

5)

rssloadingbar9av.jpg

Now should the RSS button be 1 pxl higher? I also noticed there is no status/loading bar there. Wonder if you can put that in?

That's pretty much all the bugs I can come up with. Other than that...it's a freakin awsome skin.

Thanks fore reading this and I hope you fix these bugs in 1.5

Dark Kyuubi

--edit--

and btw...I really think I'm not complimanting enough on the actual skin. I must say it's a great piece of work. Very easy on the eyes and it looks dead cool. Did you know this is the FIRST skin that I actually keepted from all the skins I have tried in the last 6 month? Yeah I'm very picky with skins because they need to be just right and this one got all the right stuff. It's just these small bugs that really don't let me have the full effect. Fix them bugs and this will go down as one of the best FF skins ever created and I would love you so much for it..:laugh:

On top of those mentioned above, do not forget the FIND BAR. As it is, its FUBAR. :cry:

HOLY MAC!....now THAT would make this skin unusable...thanks for pointing that out...come on baby....let's cross our fingures for 1.5

Maniseb,

Just beautiful...as I mentioned @A-S this skin has such potential! With your updated v1.1, it now displays properly on Deer Park Alpha2 Nightlies...

I am impressed and you really did a thorough job with the 'bug spray'...lol

Reviewing your ReadME, with all the suggestions and pics that we posted, this is now my default FF skin...

Please continue on with your work as you obviously have the talent and knowledge to tackle the dam Mozilla .css code...

btw: I had a tweak setting in my userChrome.css (had left it in for another theme) that was causing a 'gap' between the Backward/Forward Toolbar icons, and also was squishing the Bookmark Folder Toolbar 'Close' button...

Cheers and congrats again on a real fine job and I love to see your next version with your Toolbar Buttons designs...

:cool: :yes: ;)

OK...lol, hopefully this may be a .css code in my userChrome.css, but when I click on a Bookmark Toolbar Folder, the (text then disappears...) 'ss' posted:

manisebll9ie.jpg

Now here is my present userChrome.css:

#softwareupdate {

display: none !important;

}

/* Make the active tab not bold */

tab[selected=true] {

font-weight: normal !important;

}

#status-bar,

#bookmark-window statusbar {

font-family: handelgotdlig,handelgotd, handelgotd !important;

font-weight: normal !important;

font-size: 8pt !important;

color: #000000;

}

Extensions used:

TBP 1.2.7.1

MiniT 20060216.6_Enh by Samir for Nightlies

GMail Notifier 0.4.3

Compact Menu 1.7.2

Nightly Builder Tool 0.6.5

Hopefully I can catch you before you leave on your 3wk Holiday...lol

If not I'll try a 1.0.6 Aviary build with no extensions...but I do love to be able to utilize the New Update Feature of the rather stable Nightlies...

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8b4) Gecko/20050718 Firefox/1.0+ ID:2005071806

If you could kindly either PM here or @A-S....

Regards

As I replied on another Forum:

P.S. I also edited this part of code within browser.css:(Within the theme)

/* .... URLBAR Secure Feature .... */

#urlbar[level=high] > .autocomplete-textbox-container {

font-weight: bold;

font-style: italic;

color: #08D7E6;

}

#urlbar[level=low] > .autocomplete-textbox-container {

font-weight: bold;

font-style: italic;

color: #08D7E6;

}

#urlbar[level=broken] > .autocomplete-textbox-container {

font-weight: bold;

font-style: italic;

color: #FF0000;

}

So as not to have the 'italic, coloured text' in this area to normal-Lucinda Grande-Black text appearance...

Also for those who utilize Nightlies to have the Bookmark Toolbar Folder text not disappear when clicking on them...

"This problem will disappear when you delete the following lines in browser\browser.css (inside the theme):"

Code:

.bookmark-item .toolbarbutton-text {

margin: 0px !important;

color: MenuText;

-moz-opacity: 0.9;

background: url("chrome://browser/skin/bookmarkshadow.png") top left;

background-attachment: fixed !important;

}

This was graciously offered by A-S member, Moe Zila...:)

Now I get my Nightly/Daily_Trunk fix and still be able to view this very eye pleasing theme...

I am loving this theme. There are two things I really don't like about it though:

1. The divider lines (on the toolbar area) don't really flow with the theme. Is there any way to get rid of them, or make them blend more into the background.

2. The status bar looks very strange when maximized.

You can remove the separator lines by putting something in the userchrome.css. I don't remember what but ask in the mozillazine forums.

  • 1 month later...

This is a truly awesome skin for Firefox. It's one of my top favorite skins that i've ever used. It matches Stefan's visual style perfectly! However, I have two questions.

1. Since StefanKa seems into Styler Toolbar lately and no longer Y'z....any chance you or someone similar will release a Y'z Toolbar to match this theme?

2. For those who are into the whole Mac OS X/Aqua look....any chance you'll release a version with Mac style buttons instead of Longhorn/Vista style buttons?

This topic is now closed to further replies.
