well i cannot give you any direct links or anything, all i can say is "torrents" or "google"

I got my official WinBETA copy from http://www.newtorrents.info

But like you said it is beta, i dont wanna download 2.5 gig for each new beta, i removed vista after 1 day because i just dident like its preformance in beta.

it is already miles better than xp, its not just looks you know.

It's not a stable operating system yet. It's definitely NOT a wise idea to use Vista, in its current state, as an everyday operating system. Some programs I rely on in XP may break apart in Vista.

And most importantly of all, there might be a billion security holes in this beta of Vista that won't be patched until either the next beta, the RCs, or after it goes off to RTM.

Hi Franco,

You know m8, this VS is quite nice and (of course) has the KoL quality that one expects of your works...

You diplomatically work your various threads nicely, and the links at the Pg1 of this rather long 60+Pg thread to the various start buttons that you graciously offer is great!

Even looking @your 'ss' on Pg 50 where the 'StartButton.bmp' is now named:

comenzar.bmp *** as I originally when opening up the VistaXP.msstyle in ResEdit was looking for StartButton.bmp lol...

"Comenzar" is "Start" in spanish :D

The beta's pretty funny at the moment and it's half a headache just to get Aero Glass working- and it isn't pretty (in terms of speed), even on a really nice rig

well your computer must be really crap because it worked on mine straight away and was faster than xp

New design looks really great. If you wouldn't mind I would just point out a few design things that I found visually distracting with your existing Vista Style.

First of all, let me say something that's already known, you are very talented and very detail oriented and this is why I know you won't take this as criticism but more as a friendly design suggestion.

In your Vista style the menu hover label is too light blue, in many cases it's very hard to see what you are highlighting, I think it would be much much better if you just made it a bit darker blue. We all know that Vista has a slightly different approach so those light blues might work well with real Vista but not really with Windows XP.

Also, in some cases the menu fonts are also light so just a bit darker tone of grey will look perfect.

In Windows Blinds version, I've noticed that when you click slightly below close button the windows roll up. Weird.

Also in Windows Blinds 5 version with glass, I do believe that less transparency will be much more usable because in Vista we have the blur which gives the effect that's not tough on the eyes, when it's just clear transparent and you have Windows overlapping it's really hard to find your way around because Windows contents are overlapping as well. With let's say 20% transparency it will look perfect because background windows won't look as intrusive.

      I agree. I also think Phil stayed too long. They should definitely fire whoever thought all a console platform needed was Call of Duty, Elder Scrolls, and Fallout to survive. Asha and crew are still saying they need more Elder Scrolls and Fallout games. They simply don't get it.

      Mozilla highlights Firefox Nova 2026 redesign and more upcoming features with new roadmap by Sayan Sen Last month Mozilla confirmed that Firefox was set to get a major redesign this year. Dubbed "Project Nova", it can already be tested and will roll out to all users later this year.The idea is to keep the browser competitive in a rapidly evolving internet landscape. As such the revamp focuses on improving privacy, usability, performance, accessibility, and customization. Key privacy features including the built-in VPN, private browsing mode, and Enhanced Tracking Protection, will be more visible and easier to manage, while users will have the option to disable AI features entirely through a dedicated kill switch. Additionally, the redesign promises faster page loading, the return of Compact mode, expanded personalization options, and stronger accessibility support. In a new blog post today the company once again reiterated on Nova and also emphasized other new and upcoming features like the settings revamp that is intended to make it easier for users to understand browser settings. In order to make it simpler for users to keep up with such features Mozilla today is launching Firefox roadmap. Hence enthusiasts and interested users will be able to check out what's cooking and also share feedback about the upcoming additions. Alongside the roadmap announcement, Mozilla also highlighted what's new in Firefox 152. One of the biggest additions is the arrival of Tab Groups on Android. The feature, which has already been helping desktop users organize large numbers of tabs, is now beginning to roll out on mobile. Users will be able to group related tabs together, assign names and colors to them, and return to them later. Mozilla says support for iOS will arrive later this year. Firefox 152 also introduces the aforementioned redesigned Settings experience. The company says the changes are meant to make controls easier to find and help users discover features they may not have previously known about. Existing preferences are not changing, though they are now better organized. Another notable addition is the new Blocked Tracker Widget, which provides a visual overview of Firefox's privacy protections by showing how many trackers have been blocked over time and the types of tracking activity the browser has stopped. Looking ahead, Mozilla revealed several upcoming roadmap features. They include customizable keyboard shortcuts, as well as enhanced PDF editing tools that will allow documents to be split, merged, and reorganized directly within Firefox. Meanwhile Firefox's built-in VPN is set to expand to mobile devices. Mozilla is also developing AI-powered features like Quick Answers, which can provide concise responses to voice queries, and Smart Window, its optional AI browsing experience that is now available without a waitlist.       Dead on arrival at that price. Like they missed the mark by multiple hundreds of dollars - this should actually undercut the Macbook Air at $899 if they want any sort of sales / further adoption of WoA
