i'm wanting to hack the lifeglobe full version goldfish aqurium so that it has the blue rocks like the one in the mce only version.

i have purchased the screensaver but saw the one that comes with mce was cooler looking and i would like to have the blue colored gravels like it does.

if this is possible please post me some ideals on how to do it.

i'm not looking for a hack for the serial or anything just to be able to change the rocks color.

i could post the to screensavers if someone would like to give it a shot.

i've searched google for 2 hours with no luck and thought someone on here could help.

thanks

Try opening it with a hex editor or disassemblingit.

You kinda have to be a knowlegable programmer and spend alot of time figuring out the way the program works though.

[EDIT]Oh, is it just an image you want to change? Did you look around the directory to see if you can find it? If not, try opening up the exe and other things with a resource editor. Hope this helps! [/EDIT]

i have no clue about hex editing thats why i asked to start with lol.

if its not possible to get the blue colored gravel in the full version release is there away to make the one the comes with mce 2005 work on xp home/pro?

i just really like the colors of the one in mce.

thanks

I've compared the MCE version with the standard version and the code is very differant between the two. It isn't a simple matter of reshacking. I think a better goal would be to find the OS check in the MCE version and remove it. However, that's beyond the scope of this forum.

Oh, and forget about that site. They don't have what you want.

Ok, here is the translation:

Download the files: http://www.homejungle.ru/Aquariums/AquaGold.rar

And copy the content of the archiv into Windows\System32.

I'm not responsible for any damage tooken by this 'translation' lol :) Have fun ;)

don't worry about the aquagold file. I downloaded it months ago but let's just say it wasn't a quality release. i was on the search for the same thing you are after but never could figure it out. I finally just gave up.

I know it is possible - I found out about it all from this site:

http://www.feldoncentral.com/forums/showth...09&page=4&pp=20

I downloaded at hex editor but had no idea what I should have been looking for. Good luck to you - let us know if you find a way!

The file on that site is worthless. Hence the reason I said don't bother with that site. I didn't even have to translate it (from Russian, btw) to figure that out. This subject has been posted a few times before and has never been resolved. I know it's possible to get the MCE version working on XP but like I said, it's beyond the scope of this forum.

Anyway, the devs of GA have heard peoples cries and are thinking of instituting blue gravel and the squarish rocks from the MCE version into the main stream version. Hang tight dude. It's only virtual fish and aesthetics after all. :)

Hello,

I search this screensaver (goldfish media center) for an installation on windows xp home!

Is it possible to install goldfish for xp media center on a xp home version ?

Moreover, I wish and i would like that someone send me a compatible file of goldfish.scr with xp home

You can upload it on an URL such as megaupload.com by example, else you can send me the file to my email adress:

zabou_k52@hotmail.com

Thanks for all!!

P.S: I'm french, so i'm sorry for my errors of languages...

HELP!

Help, I need somebody,

Help, not just anybody,

Help, you know I need someone, help.

When I was younger, so much younger than today,

I never needed anybody's help in any way.

But now these days are gone, I'm not so self assured,

Now I find I've changed my mind and opened up the doors.

Help me if you can, I'm feeling down

And I do appreciate you being round.

Help me, get my feet back on the ground,

Won't you please, please help me.

And now my life has changed in oh so many ways,

My independence seems to vanish in the haze.

But every now and then I feel so insecure,

I know that I just need you like I've never done before.

Help me if you can, I'm feeling down

And I do appreciate you being round.

Help me, get my feet back on the ground,

Won't you please, please help me.

When I was younger, so much younger than today,

I never needed anybody's help in any way.

Help me, get my feet back on the ground,

Won't you please, please help me, help me, help me, oh.
