Text Based Bittorrent client.

Hello,

can anyone recommend a text based bittorrent cleint for linux, one that I can install on my server and use over SSH with putty. Somethign capable of miltiple trackers would be nice, and soemthign that can download and seed.

preferably one with an rpm installer or that i can get over apt on redhat 9.

Hmmm... Would that be BitTorrent that you are looking for? It has a page on freshmeat and sourceforge, too (same product).

I use bittornado - it comes with two command line interfaces - btdownloadcurses.py (and btdownloadmanycurses.py) and btdownloadheadless.py. All can be used over ssh.

BitTorrent and BitTornado are good clients with console interfaces, but they use Python, and incase you don't have that installed, you can use ctorrent, a small console torrent client.

That sure is a great client, been using it for some time.
