Can anyone show some pics of what these mods have achieved?

I know you've written what they do, but some of it means absolutely nothing to me, pictures would speak volumes!

Cheers!

Heres what it looks like without that useless tab bar

Is it possible to change Messenger appearance from brushed metal to aqua, or at least the new unified titlebar look? Metal seems so heavy on it, I don't think it was a good choice.

I thought it was a little heavy at first too - but its really grown on me. I love the new look now. It fits in with safari and finder.

The Only thing that bugs me is that the windows are not draggable all over like metal windows should be. I keep grabbing the little area in the convo windows next to the emoticons and font set, and realising that I cant drag there :pinch:

I always knew that the whole "drag the window from anywhere" concept would be trouble. Developers never stick to the rules, and it just ends up confusing newbies. They should have kept it just the titlebars for consistency.

I suggest you look into Chromium, its a new theme that was just released and I absolutely love it. It comes with its own installer/restorer so you dont need shapeshifter or and other apps.

Basically Chromium attempts to apply the unified titlebar/plastic look systemwide, and provide consistency between apps. Top corners of windows are rounded, the bottoms are squared. The buttons are sunken and look much nicer. Safari/quicktime fit in with finder and all the other apps. I really love this theme :D

Don't forget Smoothtunes to skin itunes.

Get rid of the MSN logo in your contactlist - UPDATE

Browse to Microsoft Messenger.app/Contents/Resources

To get rid of the MSN logo in the contactlist replace your current .png file with the contents of Contactlist.zip

Should work now.

Contactlist.zip

How about a way to change peoples stupid display names? I'm sick of having people names like "rofllol i pwn a11 n3wbs rofllolrofllol!!!!!111!!1!!!!!!"

Like what messenger plus for windows msn does.

EDIT: or how about "****** ---- %^&%^&^&% WEBCAM GIRL &%^&%^&% ---- ****** --- TAKL TO MEEE BOYYSSSZZZ!!!"

oh man those are the worst (not that i have anyone on my list like that hahahahha)

    • I noticed this was already happening within my organization; my teams location will change between remote and on-site without me having to do anything. Is it possible this is live already for select customers?
    • I wonder what it will show when I'm plugged in with my ethernet cable at home and not using WiFi.
    • While LibreOffice is not pleased to see a new competitor, they are absolutely correct in stating that Euro-Office using a MS file standard as a default is not being truly "European." Using a MS standard just means Euro-Office is just a "bastardized MS Office Suite." (Wasn't a major purpose of Euro-Office was to get away from being captive and enslaved to MS's Office Suite??)
    • Microsoft continues its long-term policy of spying on their users--despite vehement denials. That feature will be disabled (or removed) either "elegantly" with MS providing a true way to disable it, or "quick and dirty" via a third-party who WILL come up with a way to disable it. Your choice MS...
