Arckon
Also try Amarok or Zinf too. I really would like to see the Winamp devs come out w/ a Linux version, but I highly doubt it would ever happen. I really find most of the media players really lacking in certain areas. My media players of choice are Winamp for music and Media Player Classic for movies, but I haven't been able to get either of them to work very well w/ Wine. Malbojia
quick note to using xmms, if you need the presets I'd suggest you save the winamp ones and load them. Also for xmms skins you can use winamps version 2.xx series skins. all you need to if it's a folder is copy to ~/.xmms/skins Also if there the wgz rename them to .zip and move them to the same place. chavo
Try some of the media apps that come with kubuntu, or are available through synaptic. Amarok is awesome if you want an app that has everything. I think it's too much just for listening to music. Juk is what I use. Simple interface and easy to setup. Crimson Behelit
XMMS or Beep Media Player XMMS is pretty much a clone of Winamp, and Beep is a reworking of Xmms.
