Looks Heavily inspired by Winswy's LED 2 theme.. screen

also, anyone with a lick of sense knows black buttons are useless in a VS, and the all programs image is badly done and totally out of alignment. Also sevaral rough edges and progress bar on the right at the end looks bad.

Ill take his for 10 bucks over this anyday.

Keep trying.

black text on black buttons IS NOT, i repeat is not useable, must i post a screen? I wont be installing a font to get a vs to be useable, it is not neccesary to install a custom font to get the all programs trick to work if the author knows what he is doing.

The theme doesnt use black text over black button. the text color of the theme is, is not Bant's fault that Firefox or IE doesnt use the color of the Visual Style.

All program image out of aligment??? I see the image very well aligment here and a lot of themes that use that type of progress bar have that bug.

I dont know why people say this theme is crap, this is a BETA. I bet that most of you can create graphics or a theme like bant.

Here is a shellstyle that I made for the theme :D - http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/22273332/

Point being.. KNOWING thatwhy even bother designing with black buttons seeing most people use firefox and IE.. renders the VS useless to me and im sure lots of other folks. as i stated before it is easy to fix the all progs image alignment problem withOUT the use and installation of a custom font. Its easy if you know how. Also the progress bar bug can be fixed as well to look that way and have no bug..IF u know how.

Heh, and he has the nerve to call others lazy in their work. Shellstyles are easy.. IF u know how.

:)

It looks nothing like LED2, and I seriously doubt Bant would base his work off anyone elses. You should probably just uninstall and and save yourself from being any more wrong.

Fl@sh isn't happy that Bant didn't like Winswy's latest beta, so he's probably throwing a tantrum. iOn is definitely something different than what we've come to expect from Bant. It's not really my style, but it is done well. I can admit that.

Wow....in all the years here I have never seen a mod so blantly post something like that. Where in the hell do you get the authority to post something like that? You are supposed to be the model citizen around here, try acting like it. When you post something like that you seriously bring down the quality of comments coming Neowin mods.

You should try some Cuban sites as the way your acting is bordering on communism.

In fact, i think i'll report that post. Your credibility is faultering.

No offense intended.. :)

I just felt they should know the whole story. Report me if you want. I did nothing wrong. This is nothing but people not handling criticism and acting like children with a "you suck too" battle. It's pointless.

    • Linux 7.1 arrives with an NTFS overhaul and major hardware performance boosts by Paul Hill The founder of the Linux kernel has just announced the availability of Linux 7.1. This is a stable version of the kernel that will now be tested by various Linux distributions before it is shipped to users through update managers. Some users, like those on Debian, for example, might not get it for a long time, if at all, while Fedora users can expect it in the near future. With Linux 7.1 out on time, the merge window for Linux 7.2 is now open, giving contributors the opportunity to send in major new features that have been waiting for the last two months. Torvalds warned that he is currently travelling and will be in another timezone, so timing for the merge window may be irregular due to timezone differences and limited internet access. Torvalds said that he has already fetched early pull requests to allow him to do some offline work, but the travel could still cause disruption. Right now, he is not planning to extend the release, but did consider it. He said he might later regret not extending, though. In terms of this last week of development for Linux 7.1, Torvalds said there were no major or alarming changes. This week consisted mostly of smaller driver updates to GPU, networking, and sound, networking fixes, trace tooling fixes, and misc minor fixes. The shortlog this week lists fixes for driver bugs, memory leaks, I/O and USB fixes, networking and RDMA fixes, DRM/graphics fixes, and tooling and verification improvements. Specific fixes include USB series heap-overflow and buffer overflow fixes, and multiple use-after-free, memory-leak, and refcount corrections across subsystems such as i2c, zram, gpio, and net. There are fixes for graphics drivers, including amdgpu, i915, and virtio, as well as hypervisor and virtualization tweaks affecting mshv, vmbus, and hyperv. According to Phoronix, anyone running Linux 7.1 should look out for the new NTFS driver, Intel FRED for improved performance on Panther Lake and future CPUs, faster graphics with Intel Arc Battlemage, and improvements for older AMD Radeon GPUs. If you are running Linux on your computer and everything is fine, then you don’t need to worry about updating to Linux 7.1 as a priority; just wait for it to be pushed to you. If you have tried Linux on hardware but it didn’t work properly, trying again with a distro that uses Linux 7.1 could cause Linux to work on your machine, thanks to the new hardware support.
