hmm... well if the govt sees we are trying to be rebels, they will raise and price more and say "take it or leave it. you're choice". then its our fault in the end. we cant do much besides sit back and watch the numbers escalate.

what would be easier would be to stop by huge pickups and suvs that guzzle petrol and you only use to drop the kids off at school. This 'boycott' is a bad idea because in the 'long run' everyone's going to use the same amount of petrol anyway.

I just can't wait to see what happens when the world runs out of oil products. Of course, I most likely will be in the ground by then, but I'm sure we'll also have them cool flying cars from Back To The Future, runabouts/shuttles from Star Trek or something new.

The major thing that depresses me is that the whole human race is holding ourselves back from experiencing the same kind of future similar to our favorite sci-fi movies that we love... I basically mean that by now we should of had an alternative to oil, something more earth friendly, no need for war/poverty/etc... I wish I was born in 2183 instead of 1983... Who knows? Maybe I'll be reincarnated as a crewman onboard a fancy space ship... I can dream, right? :)
