compiling the glibc-2.3.2 source code package,

but running code#./configure ,prompts like below:

configure: error :you must configure in a separate build directory.

what should i do???

i use the linux platplam is RedFlag4.0,download from this website :

http://www.redflag-linux.com/eindex.html

From the glibc-2.3.2 directory:

mkdir ../glibc-build

cd ../glibc-build

../glibc-2.3.4/configure --prefix=/usr \

--disable-profile --enable-add-ons \

--enable-kernel=2.6.0 --libexecdir=/usr/lib/glibc

make

make install

make localedata/install-locales
