That looks very nice! But I use MSN. It would be very nice if someone make a MSN skin for this... :ninja:

Making MSN skins is not so suggestable, since, each time a new version is released, the author of the skin has to remake the .exe file again (MSN Messenger doesn't have a "change skin" feature yet, but it is likely things will change with MSN 8).

Talking about Trillian... what's the link to the LE4's skin thread (you can send me a PM too, if it can't be posted in public)?

Thank you! :)

I have two suggestions for LE4:

+ Change the windows icon on the start menu to the Windows Vista one

+ Create a full package of the Blue Glass Icons as an add-on...

That'll make it complete!

P.S -->

If em3 does not wish to do this that is fine, but i'd still be interested if someone was to create a mod and post them up here!

AFAIK em3 does not want mods in the wild

That would be mine, and I made the other Luna Element skins. The one you posted is a skin for the Enhanced Contact List plugin being developed by eh?one. The actual Trillian skin will look just like the VS, no glow or anything (yet, I have some ideas for how to add some though, just not sure if they will work). It should be out sometime soon though. I really just have to make up the panel headers, and thats about it I think :)

I don't really like the glow effect.

Don't worry. The Trillian skin itself wont have them. It will look just like the VS. The skin for the plugin on the other hand uses them right now, since I wanted to mix Vista with the Luna Element, as well as use some of the plugins cool features

Man, this theme is making me want to re-consider my decision to not patch my uxtheme.dll (doing those kinds of things never seem to work out for me--I'm not the most handy guy around). Been using Windowblinds since installing themes is so easy with it. Great job on this visual style, it may have converted me to patching....

Yes, I'm like you and never really thought the risk was worth just a new look, until this theme. :D

patching the uxtheme is as easy as installing windowblinds. just run neowins patch, restart ur computer, and voila youre done...no need to run anything, just right click on the desktop and select ur style, easy as switching luna to classic...

But what like ArChAn9eL said, that patcher makes it simple..or did for me. I would try it if you really want this theme. I love this theme! It's what made me chance it.

Well, I went ahead & patched my uxtheme.dll. I did the manual patch after reading of issues w/ the multi-patcher. I am very happy to say, other than the issues I had w/ uninstalling WB  , the patch went off w/out a hitch. Given my past history w/ such things, this is a minor miracle. :D LE4 (black) is probably the best VS I have ever used. I am very happy at this moment. Thanks for the great VS, & thanks for the "push over the edge" to get me to patch uxtheme....

haha no prob man. it's as simple as cake, and no need to uninstall if u don't like it. it's a system file anyways, not like it would conflict with more resources or anything...

Is anyone going to do a welcome / shutdown screen for LE4? I'm using XPIZE one at the moment, but I'd love to have an LE4 one. Anyone interested?

I'm working on an update for the Logon file. Klopp might make the shutdown... not sure.

I might make an update to the black style changing the background from creamy greay/yellow hue to pure gray like in Royal, I think it will look better.

    • Microsoft wants to end printer driver headaches with Windows Ready Print by Usama Jawad A few days ago, Microsoft released Windows 11 Experimental build 26300.8553, bringing a ton of enhancements such as Start menu customization, search improvements, Taskbar polish, and other minor UI tweaks. Another relatively major enhancement snuck deep within the change log was related to upgrades to the Windows printing experience. Now, Microsoft has shared more details about these benefits. For starters, Microsoft has renamed its Modern Print Platform to Windows Ready Print. The company believes that this name highlights its shift in strategy, which now focuses on modernizing, securing, and streamlining the printing experience for Windows devices. Some of the upgrades present in Windows Ready Print have already been seeded to customers and partners. This includes ending support for third-party printer drivers via Windows Update and transitioning towards the Internet Printing Protocol (IPP) and the native Windows IPP printer driver. In line with these changes, new printer installations will default to Windows Ready Print on eligible devices starting from July 2026. However, Microsoft recognizes that not all environments will be able to migrate to this platform immediately, so it will allow users to choose between installing the printer via Windows Ready Print or the traditional OEM process. Users will be able to toggle this configuration through Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Printers & Scanners > Printer preferences. This control applies only to new printer installations, and its functionality can also be modified via Group Policy as follows: Launch Group Policy Editor Navigate to Local Computer Policy -> Administrative Templates -> Printers Find and select 'Configure Windows Ready Print driver ranking' -> double click to open it Select 'Enabled' (if you wish to enable Windows Ready Print driver selection) or 'Disabled' (if you wish to explicitly disable Windows Ready Print driver selection). Select Apply Select OK Similarly, if you set up Windows protected print mode through the same setting in Windows 11, it will also default to using Windows Ready Print exclusively. Microsoft hopes that these improvements will help eradicate dependency on OEM-specific driver installation processes and simplify printer installations. We'll likely find out more about other tangible benefits in the coming months.
    • Hey what's about the proton vpn firefox extension ? It's not working today
    • On what though? Not Ray Tracing.
    • Agreed, but now my muscle memory immediately creates a layer for each text portion, so editing is made a little easier.
    • Happy for him, it is one of the first apps I install on a new Windows machine, been using it for years!
