Best Gameboy advance games

Recommended Posts

Okay so I loved the idea of the gameboy advance but hated the non backlit screen, really spoilt it for me :(

The SP was exspensive and only seemed to give ME the benifits of the backlight however the micro sets to change all this.

I adore the size and want it to have some quick Nintendo action anywhere, its small enough to just throw in my pocket, unlike the psp or ds.

Now then i was wondering what games were avaliable on the advance platform therefore that i could run on the micro? and what are the best games avaliable.

To give you some ideas im looking at quick pickup. blast and put down again games...for example on my GBA i have....

Pacman

Pole position

dig dug

Supermario World (nes version)

Supermario 4 (nes version 3) or whatever its called

Asteroids

Missile command

Doom

Ms Pacman

Centipede

Street fighter

Sonic Advance

Tony hawks pro skater 2

GT advance

Galaxian

Galaga

And i was looking at monkey ball GBA and zelda (nes)

so im clearly into my retro gaming and love the idea of a portable nintendo but im really looking for some recomedations that are fun and a quick blast rather than in depth and involved games such as advance wars.

So if anyone has any suggestions im all ears

(im getting the micro regardless this is about games not what is the best console etc)

I recommend Wario Ware. I have the first one and it is a great pick up and go game. There is also a newer one. Either would be great choices.

There is also the GBA Zelda game, The Minish Cap. It was a nice game albeit quite short.

For your RPG fix, Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age are great.

GBA has a ton of good games, I'd check places like http://pocket.ign.com

I'd wait to get one of these when they come out for under $200 then put a gameboy advanced emulator on it and any other kind of system emulator you want

the great thing about this as opposed to the PSP is they support and acctually encurage homebrewed apps like as in emulators and such, it also plays movies and music

    • I really wonder if this has to do with the built in VPN or "private DNS" of browsers that trip up legal requirements like cookie consent and Cloudflare (to avoid all the botnet attacks we get). And BTW some botnets still manage to get past Cloudflare, we are constantly having to tweak it to block malicious traffic that ultimately cause a DDoS.
    • CPPC states can also be messed around with in most UEFI settings but aren't as robust as the ones that the Windows Scheduler can provide! Make sure you look into what your motherboard also has before customizing for the Windows Scheduler.
    • My issue is I can't access the forum on mobile if the site is set to Desktop mode on Vivaldi because it can't complete the Cloud flare am I a bot check! I know this is a Vivaldi issues as it has started happening on all cloud flare check sites, it's so annoying, I've reported it but no fix yet.
