Cannot delete folder

Question

A couple days ago I noticed a directory in my Application Data directory. I can't remember the original name now since I've renamed it so many times, but it had something to do with some kind of CD copy protection crap. When I try to delete the directory I get the error in the following error:

The error is the same regardless of the name of the directory (which is something normal and human readable like "delete_this"). The directory also contains a subdirectory that exhibits the same behavior (I can rename it but I get the same error when trying to delete it).

Any ideas would be appreciated...

I'm running Win XP Pro SP2 with all the latest updates.

You could also try booting into safe mode and deleting it from there.

If that doesn't work, check the disk for errors. Be sure to use the /f and /r switches when you run chkdsk. After the check is complete (could take a long while) then try again to delete the directory if it still exists.
