I need a canadian web-host

Now before i start, i already looked at the big thread thats stickied

I need a canadian webhost, i dont want it too expensive ($1-10).

The minimum requirements are:

• 200Mb Space
  
• 10Gb bandwidth
  
• MySQL
  
• Cpanel
  
• FTP
  
• Able to use my domain
  
• CGI-BIN
  
• Perl

I'd like to find a canadian host in that range too - as I'm planning on starting up a site with Canadian content on it (more academic type stuff). Save for the PHP & MySQL stuff.

The problem is that the bandwith is a heck of a lot more expensive in Canada than in the US. We really need those big, massive, multi-backbone host providers like the Yanks have. Till then, I have my eye on a few US hosts. Need to get the webpage and content finished first!

Might I ask why you need a specific host based in CA?

Can your TLD not just be a .ca?

I mean if its between US/CA internet traffic is pretty swift decent infrastructure... perhaps you dont like paying to the idiotic bush administration! :D

I plan on getting a .biz domain.

i want canadian webhost so i can call them if theres something wrong, so i wont be charged long distance. Also i can mail money orders/checks :)

I haven't seen any good ones in Canada. I use ASO based in the US.

Well i guess i'll have to open a paypal account, and find a host with a toll-free number

most of the ones i've seen are more expensive so its not worth it

Yeah I also use ASO (A Small Orange.) Great service, quick server. Great overall. Cheap too!
