Interested in a PDA

Recommended Posts

Right, my dad always has had a PDA for client details, quick notes, documents, media, etc.

and since i barely see him cant talk to him about it, so ive turned here.

What do i need to look for in a PDA? im not looking for the latest and greatest, but would love to be able to get some sort of GPS controlled program for my car, like tomtom, guess id need a special GPS receiver box and software - anything specific the PDA needs to have this?

Im sure there is something in this list http://listings.ebay.co.uk/_W0QQsocmdZList...ge=search&fgtp=

any one like to suggest one? looking to spend sub 100.

Need it mainly for the GPS stuff, but also for notes, media, and client lists.

Thanks.

You won't find a sub $100 PDA + GPS setup. Here is what you can expect to spend realisticly:

Used Decent PDA (like Dell X30): $175

GPS Receiver: ~$100

GPS Software: $100-$300

I would suggest you get a PDA with Bluetooth, then you can get a Bluetooth GPS receiver and not have to worry about wires. Just turn it on and away you go.

I love my PDA + GPS setup. Wouldn't have it any other way. Here is what I have:

Dell Axim X50v: $500

GlobalStat BT-250: $150

iGuidance GPS Software: $120

its 100 UK pounds.

Im only looking to spend that on the actual PDA, and a further 30 or so on the GPS reciever.

Software ill look into at the time.

Mainly wanting a PDA atm, so if any would like to go down that ebay list and inform me which seems to be the best and why, i'd greatly appreciate it.
