Hi,

Yesterday I reinstalled my computer.

I also tried to make my wireless connection work.

I have a Netgear WGR614 router and a WG311 card.

I thought I configured it OK (have wired connection), but for some reason when I key in www.routerlogin.com I am transferred to www.netgear.com (and cannot access my router settings).

A reboot of modem and router didn't work.

A reinstall of my WG311 drivers has not worked.

Also a reset of router didn't work.

What can it be?

EDIT:

Also cleated temp files, temp. interfiles, cookies, history.

Tried to log in to router by turning off firewall/shut down completey McAfee IS 2005

I do have wireless connection, but not from myself! (so it is working somehow)

I'm not sure what IP your router uses. Mine uses 192.168.0.1 but its a D-Link. Try to connect to your router IP through IE. Also, make sure that in your network connections, your routers IP is specified as the default gateway under TCP/IP settings.

Are you not meant to input the IP address of the router? (ie: 192.168.1.1)

Check what the IP address is (Local Area Connection status>Support>Default Gateway)

586588852[/snapback]

Did also use 192.168.1.1 annd got redirected to netgear.com

And what steps/paths do I have to take to check the default gateway?
