Is this new? Never noticed this before...google for displaying in XHTML only?

Go to www.google.com or .co.uk (haven't looked on other ones yet) and click "Preferences"

Then find this box:

Choose XHTML, then Save settings.

Google now looks like this (note the Mobile Web Beta):

And search results look like this:

It's not new, but not old in the life span of google.

Alot of mobile phones and pda are made so they under stand xhtml properly, some ignore transistional html4.

(Usually xhtml means tableless, so the pages will be viewable at any resolution)
