Logitech MX1000 charging problem

Recommended Posts

Ok plz bear with me:

I bought it from canada last week. It didn't have a scratch then, doesn't have one now so its still in perfect condition. The box is still intact but I removed sticky plastic cover on the cradle base charger.

Its an awesome mouse and all but here's my huge problem: (bearing in mind that the mains supply in 240V while in canada its 110V)

First time I plugged it to the mains and I put the mouse in the charger using the adapter that came with the mouse and it didn't charge. So I tried another adapter. Only the bottom LED lit up red which should not happen. All 3 LEDs should blink green as the box said, so I tried removing the mouse and putting it back and I kept pushing buttons here and there till it charged up. 2 days later, it gave me the same crap till it charged. Now its not charging at all....the bottom LED doesn't even light red!

The adapter didn't blow up and nothing happened electrical-wise. It charged this morning. Now I'm trying so hard to get it to work but its still not working.

If you don't know how to fix the problem, just plz tell me one thing:

Can i return it and get another one during next week?

I still have the reciept and my aunt and her husband and children live in Canada and its still unscratched as I said before.

the first series of mx1000 was faulty and didn't really work nor recharge. try using the reset button under the mouse along with the off/on switch and put it back on the charger. i need a few tries to put mine EXACTLY on the charger so it charges. if that still doesn't work get it replaced or return it.

it seems that logitech has problems getting these mice to line up correctly... i notice the same thing w/ my mx1000, how you have to get it directly in the right spot on the base to charge... the same was true for my mx700, which i went through 2 of b/c they would stop charging after a year. im worried the same thing is going to happen to my mx1000... what they need to do is just have a plug for the mouse that could plug into the back or something.

    • Password Safe 3.72.0 by Razvan Serea Password Safe is a password database utility. Like many other such products, commercial and otherwise, it stores your passwords in an encrypted file, allowing you to remember only one password (the "safe combination"), instead of all the username/password combinations that you use. Once stored, your user names and passwords are just a few clicks away. Using Password Safe you can organize your passwords using your own customizable references—for example, by user ID, category, web site, or location. You can choose to store all your passwords in a single encrypted master password list (an encrypted password database), or use multiple databases to further organize your passwords (work and home, for example). And with its intuitive interface you will be up and running in minutes. PasswordSafe was originally designed by the renowned security technologist Bruce Schneier and released as a free utility application. Password Safe 3.72.0 changelog: Fixed bugs Improved font scale handling - should resolve font size issues on high resolution displays. GH1749 In the Master Password Setup window, "Show Master Password" is no longer truncated on some displays. New features GH1196 Dark display mode support: Password Safe now supports the system display mode, as well as setting the mode directly via Manage->Options->Display->Display Mode. This change also updates the general "look & feel" of the app to the current Windows theme. Known limitations: The Date picker and keyboard shortcut controls do not switch to dark theme The Customize Toolbar dialog does not switch to dark theme Custom Field support has been added to the more advanced features: Filters XML and Text import and export Comparison, Sync and Merge databases SF938 Custom field values may now be selected by name and copied via a "Copy Custom Field Value..." submenu in the entry context popup menu. • I've got a SoundBlasterX G6 that I use in my streaming setup. Sounds great to me and I've had zero issues with the ancient software package so far in Win11. That G6 has 7.1, Dolby, fully working SPDIF and since it's a USB device it's outside of my rig so I don't have to worry about EMF distortion. Looks like for now this is a pass for me as I think I have better hardware....
