IE6 problems

Several months ago I was having major problems with IE. It would crash constantly and freeze up my computer. I found and downloaded a beta version of sp1 version 2813.3000.

Presently the most recent beta is version 2800.1067. Everytime I try to install a new beta of sp1 I get an error thats says "a newer version of this softare is already installed". Any ideas on how to get around this and do you think I will have problems installing the official ie6 sp1?

If possible I would revert back to ie6 2600 but obviously I don't want to do a fresh install.

Any ideas?????
