A quick Google search yielded no results to aid in your problem. It is possible the replacement Shell32.dll file is causing the problem. Were you able to delete files after installing the .dll file ( and after rebooting the computer ). If that's when the problem started then that would be the first place to look.

Another issue could be a memory problem. Download Mem32test and check your memory. It could be a coincidence with the file replacment and the memory going bad. The next would be a disk check to make sure your hd passes integrity checks.

As always, check for overheating and power supply problems. Both can lead to weird errors in Windows.
