Yeah, maybe a wiki type thing that people can put code snippets in, with an explanation of what the code is doing and how its working. like for example

$ifgreater($mod(%_playlist_number%,2),0,ffffff,000000)

Alternates row text colours.

$ifgreater( <-- Def: If number [a] is greater than number , return/execute [c], otherwise return/execute [d].

[a] $mod(%_playlist_number%,2), <-- Divides the playlist number by 2, and returns the remainder (0 indicates even number, 1 indicates odd number)

0, <- If the remainder is greater than 0...

[c] ffffff, <-- ...do this (set text colour to white)

[d] 000000 <-- ...otherwise do this (set text colour to black)

) <-- end of $ifgreater

Easy example, but it could really help people learn to read the code, and learn from other examples, rather than just copy pasting. The more people who understand it, the more people who experiment with it and come up with crazy new ideas. It's not hard.

Where did you learn it matt0? Any links?

Ah no, just the hard way, screwing around with it myself.

[edit] Also, just looking at examples from uploaded setups is a pretty bad way to learn the code, because the people who do it set it all up in a way that many people can use, with lots of different options, and routines for people whose tags arnt complete. When you're there trying to read it, it's more complicated than it has to be.

IMO, Foobar is a good player. Less intrusive on resource, can play most audio files you can throw at, can encode audio files (there are some some external encoders you have to download separately in order to encode in different audio formats). Down side to it; setting it up can be a little complicated at times like changing the interface to give it a different look, doesn't support skins like most media players that are out there and has tons of options that can change the way Foobar works, which at times can be overwhelming if you don't know what you're doing.

Other then that it's a pretty good player.
