Question
Tez82
Just uninstalled Symantec Antivirus corp edition to make way for the newer version (v8 to v10). But when I did the uninstall process it never deleted the VPTray.exe from the startup registry (run). But when I manually go and delete it, the bloody thing comes back again
Its has if its read only, or something is just restoring it straight away??? Does anyone know how to remove it, cause with the new version the VPTray doesn't even come up, cause it is searching for the orginal one...
I have tried the following:
Delete the key in Safemode (works but it comes back straight away)
Delete it msconfig, but it comes back straight away
Install the original version and then unistall it (didn't work)
Tried to edit it (but restores to original state)
End all processes running (thinking that something is checking on it, but still no luck)
Does anyone have any idea????
