I think some "simpler" snow would be better on the start panel.  Also is the canydy cane style stripped part on the task bar for when its unlocked?  Cause that would make sense, but if that there when its locked, it looks out of place and pretty ugly IMO, Id prefer to have it out to keep teh task bar cleaner looking.

The theme is definitely coming along very nicely though, I think Ill be using it come December.

the candy cane stripe is only when unlocked..

i'm "hoping" to have the msstyle completed within the next few days, i've decided that i will release it before i port to WB to make sure i get as many bugs fixed as possible.

*NOTE* there will be a compact menu, however there will not be any fat, thin, thick, skinny taskbars... it is what you see.. no more sizes or colors.

I'd say the Xmas theme on my site is very useable Joe, i must never have sent it to you.

Mmmm. It's not so bad either. However, I think you could've used a different font; using a Times New Roman-like font is horrible looking for a GUI.

latest update

xmas3wl.th.jpg

removed "stars" from start menu.. new buttons and tabs... etc..

please comment.

also.. THIS is the image from the first page..  do you guys like the colors borders or the white/silver ones?

I think the new one looks bettter

In my opinion, I liked the older shot better. No stars in the Start Menu makes the thing look kind of plain. I'd prefer to keep the snow at the top, remove the stars at the top, but keep the stars at the bottom. Also, I favour coloured window borders. Makes everything look like one piece instead of a separated window border/titlebar.

These are only my suggestions; I cannot speak for the others who may appreciate these changes.

The tabs and buttons look fine, though.

the msstyle is like 95% done... just a few little images left... that i should finish up tonight. I just want to make sure that it's nice enough to release, there are a few things that i'm not completely happy with... so i'm depending on the comments that are left here.

    • I totally disagree. Very little good comes out of governments all around the world manipulating everything they can and usually the people are not the benefactors. What you say about being restricted and expensive sounds almost like the arguments against firearms and why banning them will protect people as if making something illegal somehow will prevent the criminals from having and using them. AI being far less mainstream could simply mean the average person will not benefit, but "big brother" and the corporations will benefit, which is almost for sure NOT a good thing.

    • "connect with audiences" is the most obvious corporate speak you can think of. I only bought Need for Speed from EA because it was the only racing game with cops in existence and I dig that. Now that they killed off NFS franchise, I have nothing to spend money on. EA is officially dead for me, just like Ubisoft which I've been boycotting for some 20 years now...
