"The best PC first-person shooter ever replicates itself superbly on Xbox."

"I recently played through the PC version of the game from start to finish -- not knowing that I would be reviewing the Xbox title so soon -- and I'm constantly amazed at just how well the Xbox project has turned out."

"Do yourself a huge favor and play Half-Life 2. Turn up the volume and the lights down. I guarantee you've never seen anything else like this on a console before. It really is that good."

I'm giddy for Wednesday.

Buy a PC, buy HL2, you'll be happier.

And if you cannot, you're SOL.

Why would I be happy upgrading my PC with hardware that will be near obsolete within a year?

When I have a career and have security escort you off the premises I will be all about the expensive hobby that is PC Gaming. Until then, I'd rather spend my money more practically on a 360 and games that I trust will keep me highly entertained for my remaining college years and beyond. PC no doubt has the graphics, but I'm all about console's busting plethora of games and Xbox Live.

I respect and admire the strides that PC Gaming has made but its simply too expensive for my middle-class ass. I have insurance and tuition to worry about. There is a reason console gaming is a multi-billion dollar industry and PCs are left far behind.

oh better still play it on the PC WHERE IS BELONGS!! :D

.... But.. But what if my PC sucks.... :(....

I do actually have half-life 2 for pc, but i'd have much rather waited for it on xbox, the game play would be Alooooooooooot smoother, than on my PC for a steady game i'd have to spend over 1000? on a pc... which iam affraid i don't hav:rolleyes:s: ..

unleeesss your offerin:rolleyes:s:

Go Xbox, GO!!

Yeah, thats the good thing about it, way cheaper and you will get more consistent performance on console.:yes:s:

"If you've already played Half Life 2 on a powerful PC, then you aren?t going to find yourself much reason to play the Xbox version, but for the vast majority of gamers that don?t have a gillion dollar setup, the Xbox version is a fantastic choice that will offer players a damn near identical version of 2004?s best FPS on the PC. I can easily say that I had just as much fun playing through the game on the Xbox as I first did on the PC, and probably even more so due to my personal preference of the controller over the keyboard. Microsoft confirmed June 23, 2026, that its Fairwater campus in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, is fully operational — and the engineering behind it makes the facility something fundamentally different from every data center that came before it. Where conventional cloud infrastructure racks up general-purpose servers and parcels out workloads to each one independently, Fairwater links hundreds of thousands of NVIDIA GB200 Blackwell GPUs into a single, coherent cluster using a two-story building design, 800-gigabit-per-second Ethernet fabric, and a proprietary networking protocol co-developed with OpenAI and NVIDIA. The result, according to Microsoft, is the closest thing to a purpose-built AI supercomputer that any company has ever placed in commercial operation. https://www.techtimes.com/articles/319205/20260627/microsoft-opens-fairwater-wisconsin-ai-campus-runs-one-supercomputer-via-800g-ethernet.htm
