Im in the middle of creating a system intended to offer an alternative to OsCommerce. I say alternative because I am not misguided enough to think that the system i am creating will rival the base that OsCommerce has established itself on. The system I am creating is designed to be really easy to customise is both content and basic design.
So why am I posting here? Im looking for enthusiastic developers/gamers to help to create templates, language files (its multi-lingual, or alteast its designed to support it) and basicly getting a community going.
Why gamers? The money rasied by the system (through donations etc) is intended to fund/support a huge online CSS AND BF2 gaming event with cash prizes palnned for next summer/early autumn.
Anyone that creates a language file / template will get a mention in a special area on the site and if you do more (make mods etc or work as an admin) we do well you'll get some event related gifts (mug/t-shirt).
Intended release of the system is the middle of december. So im trying to line up some translators/etc for that time so we can release the first version with multiple langauge/template options.
They've told outlets who got review units that it isn't. Partially because they believe that contributes to closed ecosystems. GamersNexus also believes this is because Valve's fighting a monopolistic practices lawsuit in Europe right now. They've also never subsidized any of their past hardware efforts and well, they definitely aren't subsidizing the Steam Deck right now.
(macOS) Screen zoom was broken for me in beta 1 and it's now working properly in beta 2. In terms of performance and UI design/consistency, these betas are already much better than Tahoe.
