why legend of zelda series not made in pc?

Recommended Posts

Because Nintendo owns the rights to the Zelda series, and if they sold them to a PC game company, they (nintendo) would probably go bankrupt

Don't get me wrong, I love gamecube and all the games, but Zelda, Metroid, and any Mario concoction seem to be the only things keeping the company afloat sometimes.

In the video game industry, a first-party developer is a developer who is part of a company that actually manufactures a video game console. First-party developers may either use the name of the company itself (like Nintendo), or have a specific division name (like Sony's 989 Studios). Unlike second-party developers, however, the first-party developer is considered part of the manufacturer, not a separate entity, and are wholly-owned by the console manufacturer.

If you wan't to play Zelda on the PC you can use emulators. Of couse to keep it legal you have to own the system and game. But if you do then it's compleatly legal to place the games on computer under emulation. Legend of Zelda: OT is a awsome game and I have it on my pc and then N64 is sitting away in the closet.

oh yes i played

legend of zelda:ocarina of time

legend of zelda:majora's mask

legend of zelda:link to the past

legend of zelda:minish the cap

with emulator's on pc

i need play legend of zelda:wind waker

but delphin is not very good emulator for gamecube

cloudstrife unlike popular belief ,even if you own the games and the system its still illegal to have a rom image.

The emualtor itself is legal but the rom image isnt.

Unless the company specifically states that they allow it its illegal.

I ended up picking up a gamecube from the pawn shop for 30 bucks to play it. For the system and game it ended up costing $40US :)

I doubt the gamecube will be perfectly emulated in any reasonable amount of time.

Actually, decent, popular Mario/Metroid/Zelda games are relatively few and far between.

Nintendo isn't "staying afloat", they've got a ton of cash in the bank.

If anything's driving Nintendo's bank balance at the moment, it's Pok?mon and Nintendogs.
