Thank you for this theme! I love it and I plan to stick with it for a long time. One thing I noticed after using it for a few days, though. On forms where there's a text field, the rectangular field has a grey border on the inside - which is nice, but it often obscures the lettering. Here's an example from the Netflix page:

Screenshot

Unfortunately, it happens a lot on a proprietary web app called Confirmit, that I use for work all day. It even happened when I was registering to post on this forum. The bottom half of the letters sink out of view.

Not enough to make me stop using this theme, I just like the look too much. But I'm curious as to whether this has been an issue for anyone else.

Thanks again!

Nice one, I'm using the dark theme at the moment.

One remark: how can I change the color of a MS Word document? The document has the same color as everything else (that cool grey/blue). But in word it would be better that the document is white. It's the same for MS Outlook, MS Excel (dark worksheet),...

You can go to Start-Settings-Control Panel-Display.

"Appearance" Tab, then "Advanced"

In the dropdown box called "Item" select "Window"

Change it to white. (Very first color on upper left).

Click OK, then click "Apply".

Wait for your screen to go through a couple of canniptions.

Then click on the Themes tab and save it as my "My Favorite Theme.theme" in your My Documents folder.

By the way, for some excellent Firefox and Thunderbird themes that complement this theme nicely, try:

MidnightFox for Firefox and PitchDark for Thunderbird.

^Thanks^

I just installed the fonts now and it didn't fix it unfortunately.

I use firefox for real life and IE for work, and it happens to me in both.

K thanks... actually I have noticed this bug after visiting a few sites...

it's not as bad as in your pic for me, but i've noticed it

I'll fix it in the next update

;)

Hey Dobee great skin. I've always been a fan. I followed the instructions, have all the fonts, but for some reason mine does not look like the preview shot. There is a weird outline on the start menu behind each icon (see picture). Does anyone else have this problem?

That's actually pretty slick. I don't have any idea why that may have happened, but I want it.

You'll need to make the shellstyle wider... I might widen the shellstyle in the next release for international users

How can I stretch shellstyle?

When you make this extension for international users?

and so you for me would can make?

because style me oneself it pleases very ;]

You can edit the shellstyle with reshack

look for "....xscrollable=false width=154rp>..." at the end of uifile1 and edit the width

if this is too technical for u... wait for the update rather

;)

Really cool theme! Like the way the taskbar seems to "glow" with a selection/alert!

Any chance of being able to put in the current user's picture, like in the real Vista? Not a critism, just something I noticed, or how abouts lengthening the start menu a little, to slot in the current user's name?

Lovin' it!

  • 4 weeks later...

This is awesome the sec i saw it i installed it on my desk.

But can someone please tell me how I can get my winamp to look like the one on the screen!

There was one guy he gave a link to a deviantart page but its dead so i downloaded the one from

stefanka there is a white and black version but its still not the same i want it too look like this just the

name of the song and the progress bar. Thank you very much in advance

hi, usin this themes. its nice. anyway i got a question to ask,

1. would it be nicer, if dobee make it glass effect?

2. what is the plugin on the top right in th screenshot

3. where can i get a transparent rainlander and where can i download it?

4.how do i remove the text from my icon on the desktop?

@dobee: Nice visualstyle! Finally, something that made me part away from Luna Element 5.

Anyway, could you please make the taskbar alert more "orange" cos it looks pinkish-brown now.

Also, the left-type (white background with no icons) shellstyle would be nicer if it has the same black blackground (with icons) as the top-type shellstyle.

And if it's not too much to request, remove the square border around the close/minimize/restore buttons so that it look like the buttons of Windows Media Player 11 Beta

Thanks again for the great visualstyle :D

    • You can use MCT to create an updated ISO and then use Rufus to create the bootable USB.
    • low latency mode is still bugged and causing bootup times slow to a crawl. To fix, you have to disable the feature with vivetool. Seems as though it's not rolled out to a lot of people yet since I've only been able to find only a handful of people that are having issues.
    • I would recommend the Nothing 2a. The battery life is awesome, 2 or 3 days without going into battery power mode. The only thing that I've been looking into recently is that it doesn't "support" Graphene OS. I'm pretty sure there is a way, I just need to do some more looking.
    • You'd have to show me an example of a listing that says Gen 1, usually i'd expect that to mean Snapdragon Gen 1 (a type of chipset, which the Pixels don't use). Pixel 7 - White - 128gb - Unlocked - 85%+ battery - Grade B+ - $159 with free delivery - https://www.ebay.com/itm/398046617206 Pixel 7 - Obsidian - 128gb - Unlocked - 80%+ battery - Very Good - $157 with free delivery - https://www.ebay.com/itm/355617734563 Both look to be sold by companies with good feedback, dealing with refurbished phones and state the phones are unlocked with a clean IMEI. Obviously I can't vouch for either company though, but the listings look good in my opinion.
    • Because Chrome is doing it. And no one said anyone had to update immediately. That's silly. They could update every day for all I care as long as it's fast, and the next time the browser restarts, you're good. And the basic point is not to tee it up for bigger updates. As it is right now, all the windows I had open reopen anyway except inprivate.
