ABC's ALIAS : Cancelled !

Bristow went down Wednesday, with ABC confirming what the Nielsen ratings had been saying all season: Alias is done.

The Emmy-winning action-spy series that made a brand-name star of Jennifer Garner will air its final episode in May, the network said.

Even with the writing on the wall in big, bold letters, Alias executive producer Jeff Pinkner said in a statement that the crew was "very saddened to face reality that Alias is coming to an end." He promised a "surprising" and "thrilling" finale.

Loved the show in the beginning but it just got too weird. Season three was the beginning of the end......

upto season 3 it was great, but season 4+ they have been scraping the barrel a bit.

Cancelled ! is a big word to use, they are finishing the show in may, that means it wasn't cancelled, its a big loss, i have been following this program from the first episode, i get the show from america to me in the uk every friday, its just another program which i liked which they scrapped for crappy reasons

This comes as no suprise to me, especially after how poor this new season was. They took a pretty good show and ruined it this year. Smart move on ABC's part.

I agree totally, Season 5 is almost unwatchable IMO and I've been a fan since series 1.

Yeah after the end of season three I only watched about half of season 4 and non of this season. The first two were great, season one she was a double agent, and season two had all the great dialog with her mother and that whole storyline...but after that... :no:

Cancelled and Coming to an end are the same thing. The show was canned because of bad ratings the past two seasons. This season will be the last, there won't be anything new, so it's coming to an end. But make no doubt about it, Alias was cancelled. The crew was surprised (some of them anyway) and thought there would be a season 6 possibly with a new star of the show.

I stop watching the show half way through last season. There were times I knew what was going to happen.
