hmm... the only one i could think of is unsending an e-mail (like you can do in AOL - but they would have to have the same @isp prefix or server. I think)

Not quite.  The reason this is so big is due to that fact it includes MSN5, IE6 Installer, WMP7.1 Installer and PictureIt.  Eventually I bet microsoft will make an express installer for the final verion.

Yeah...it looks like this leak came from the CD. The web-install is only 19.2 mb.

WARNING to all those thinking they should sign up with MSN8 with their credit card: Microsoft monitors all the accounts created with MSN8. And don't you think that since only a few hundred people have this it would be quite easy to track? And especially since they requested the link to be removed from the front page im guessing it could be considered warez (can you say piracy law suit? :) ) Just a simply warning! Don't trust me? Just remember who released this beta to you first!

Any help would be appreciated

There aren't any international versions in beta or otherwise as yet. Remember, MSN 8 needs a whole host of backend severs caching & dishing up localized data. (weather, stocks, mail etc)

Not to mention that they need to set up a whole billing & support process in each country MSN 8 will be available in.

International versions & services will follow later this year, and early next year.

So when exactly is the Msn 8 release for America? I hear October 17th or something like that..

I doubt they care if you already got it. If anything, they will block the verson from connecting to the network. ;)

9 hours and 141 megs later...

1) I install it thinking that since I have MSN dial-up service it will work fine

2) I click I already signed up...

3) I type in my account info

4) Says its not associated with MSN 8

5) I say "What the $hit!"

And on the selection screen it even says

Choose I?ve already signed up if:

You have already signed up for MSN 8 Internet Service at a store, over the Web, or on another computer.

?orYou do currently pay for MSN Internet Access to get online. .

OH well... it IS beta so I can't really blame it...

    • Fire and rehire. Doubt the work contracts are as favourable. Smart tactic using AI to do it legally.
    • > And, of course, it includes in-game purchases. Sigh.. of course it does. I just don't understand why anyone would want to play this on PC, when the far superior AoE 2/DE exists. Just kill this with fire already. Or a trebuchet.
    • Normally you'd just want to use Ventoy, but Rufus is handy when: - Ventoy doesn't work (some BIOSes can be weird) - You're mainly interested in creating a single Windows live USB and not interested in a multi-boot / Linux USBs - You want to automate your Windows installations (Rufus supports creating/injecting an autounattend.xml file which fully automates a Windows install). You can do this with Ventoy as well, but it requires a bit more of an effort. Also worth nothing is that both automatically bypass Windows 11's artificially imposed restrictions (TPM, CPU etc).
