TUNE IT! SAFE! ( www.tune-it-safe.de ) is the name of a new initiative started by the Bundesverkehrsministerium (German Federal Traffic Ministry), VDAT (Association of German Automobile Tuners) and the ESSEN-MOTOR-SHOW.

TechArt Automobildesign ( www.techart.de ) supports the new campaign aimed at increasing awareness for safe and legal tuning with the world's fastest police car. The Porsche 911 Carrera S has been completely modified by TechArt and reaches a top speed of some 300 km/h thanks to 370-hp / 272-kW performance tuning.

In addition to sporting the official green police markings and the light bar on the roof the world's fastest police car is also a prime example for professional automobile tuning. TechArt increases power output of the 3.8-liter flat six with the TA 097/S1 performance kit by 15 hp / 11 kW. Thus equipped the silver and green coupe accelerates from rest to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds and breaches the 300-km/h barrier.

To achieve even better directional stability and therefore active safety the Carrera S was fitted with a TechArt aerodynamic-enhancement kit that was tested extensively in the wind tunnel. It is joined by TechArt Formula 20-inch five-spoke wheels with 235/30 ZR 20 and 305/25 ZR 20 tires, and by the custom-calibrated TechArt Vario sport suspension with struts that are adjustable in height, bound and rebound.

In the interior an ergonomically shaped TechArt sport steering wheel with airbag ensures a safe handle on the performance.

I thought theyd use some smaller lights for it too. I remember when WRX's were outrunning the aussie cop cars, and the cops were looking at getting some WRX's, they couldnt make it feasible because putting the flashing lights on the top slowed it down so the advantage of a faster car was negligible.

Unmarked police cars here have lights in the front grille - you can only see them if you really look closely. Well, until they come on and the lights start blaring of course ;)

One way to tell that goverment is charging way tooo much for tax.

I disagree. Sometimes these cars are given as donations to the police force anyway - but not only that, but I believe that money should be spent where its needed. Whats the point in there being a police force if all the bad guys need are fast cars to get away from them? If the bad guys have fast cars, then the police should get a Porsche to keep up with them. Its fair enough in my tax paying eyes.

    • Microsoft announces the return of Xbox exclusives with Gears of War and Clockwork Revolution by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe Microsoft had plenty of announcements to make today at the Xbox Games Showcase celebrating 25 years of the gaming brand. Now, under the leadership of the new Xbox CEO Asha Sharma, Xbox games are going back to their original release methods. She appeared in the livestream itself to announce the return of Xbox console exclusives. This means two major upcoming games from first-party studios won't be coming to PlayStation or Nintendo consoles: Gears of War: E-Day from The Coalition and Clockwork Revolution from InExile. Both titles will only be coming out on Xbox Series X|S consoles and Windows PCs, ditching any plans they had for PlayStation. "These are not timed exclusives," confirmed Microsoft. "We’re committed to investing in and growing XBOX both on console and beyond." The company confirmed that any already announced Xbox titles for PlayStation, under previous leadership, will continue to arrive for the rival platform. This means games like the new Halo remake, Forza Horizon 6, Fable, and State of Decay 3 will still be available on PlayStation, either at launch or later. It sounds like any new projects announced by the company will avoid other consoles in the same way. Microsoft first opened the floodgates by bringing titles like Sea of Thieves, Grounded, Hi-Fi Rush, and Pentiment to PlayStation and Nintendo consoles back in 2024. Since then, almost every new game release from Xbox Game Studios has arrived for rival consoles alongside Xbox and PC. This decision follows Sony's plans to ditch its own multiplatform releases too. Outside of multiplatform live service titles, the PlayStation maker is even abandoning its PC porting endeavors that started years ago.
    • I'm missing the beginning part of this equation... but for the sake of the convo, you don't get to take a $250(?) set of normally priced RAM, jack it up to over $500/600/800 just because of a market shift, then lower it back down to more than what it was originally and call that a "sale". Not the author of this post... the manufacturer/seller.
    • SpaceX has secured a significant cloud-services deal with Google, agreeing to a monthly payment of $920 million for computing power.  This agreement, covers approximately 110,000 NVIDIA GPUs and other components.... https://cio.economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/investments/google-to-buy-computing-from-spacex-at-920-million-per-month/131543026
    • no thanks is overpriced and its not the fastest ram neither.
    • It is, but it also has a bad performance reputation even on high-end gaming PCs. Some people say it's the engine's fault, others say it's the games developers' fault, who knows... At the end of the day, for the average gamer, the take is this: PC game with Unreal Engine 5? Be affraid and cross your fingers, it's a 50/50 chance.
