Jon
Does anyone know how to disable TCP Checksum offloading on OS X 10.4.3 (iBook G4)? I'm experiencing checksum errors when analysing TCPdumps using Ethereal, and need to establish the cause. It sounds like it's down to TCP checksum offloading, so I need to ensure the checksum is calculated before the packet reaches Ethereal.... otherwise I can't trust the data to hunt the main problem (issues binding to a secured Win2k domain). Thanks! Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/409920-disable-tcp-checksum-offloading/ Share on other sites
Jon
Hmmmm. Does anyone know of any 'hardcore' technical Mac forums... people who deal with them in corporate environments and go beyond the GUI? Jon
I've finally found the answer: sysctl -w net.link.ether.inet.apple_hwcksum_rx=0 and sysctl -w net.link.ether.inet.apple_hwcksum_tx=0 Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/409920-disable-tcp-checksum-offloading/#findComment-587038792 Share on other sites
