How are these wallpapers taken? Since WinXP, the trend seems to be close-ups and photorealistic effects. Are these real pictures taken with very high-quality cameras? Or just photoshopped stuff?

that last pic of the building is pretty horrendous, looks like photoshop. The plants and boring ocean view are camera though.

As much as we all like these wallpapers. They are going to be gone from Windows Vista when it ships, replaced with even better ones.

So save them. They won't be about much longer.

I must say, both Apple and Microsoft take amazing stock photos for their OSes. One of my favorite things about getting a new OS, lol.
