Good luck with that brother...you could maybe use CSS for the menu, which im having major problems with right now, or like the other guy said Java or DHTML....looks like CSS would be the best though...I would create the buttons that I wanted in photoshop,...and if you want the "transparent" look, simple design the background, then layer over it and lower the opacity on the layer, then flatten and you're good to go. Then you get all of your buttons and just code it in CSS. The reason that i say CSS is because there are so many more people out there with knowledge of CSS than Java so it might be easier to get help with CSS.

People say that CSS is browser efficient, ...and in my newness of it all, I have yet to see it...its an extremely hard language to learn in my opinion. But there are places that you can get code for and study it (giving them credit of course) and yes, Mozilla browswers seem to not have too many problems with CSS, but with IE you need to make sure your syntax spells everything out for it, otherwise it assumes things and doesn't always display how you would like. As far as efficiency, I don't really know...CSS seems to be good if you can work the bugs out of it, but like I said, this is just all my opinion on what I know of it so far, so don't take my word for anything, haha.

      I do agree with your point on the lack of ability to reach a human support agent, it's highly frustrating and sadly not uncommon these days. 100% - if a company breaches a SLA, that's not acceptable, but if you breach their ToS then the SLA is invalidated. Why the guy was locked out? - who knows, its looks like it's breach of ToS, but who knows, maybe it's an error on Microsoft's side in this instance, maybe it's an accident, maybe it's a flagrant breach - pointless speculating. However the point here is by uploading all your data to a single point you have backed yourself into a corner where you don't have a recovery plan and that is 100% on you. If you have all your data on hard disk and it fails - do you blame the manufacturer for the data loss? What if the provider goes bust What if you forget to update a payment method and the account is terminated because you miss the email because you're busy, change the address, whatever What if the provider has a catastrophic failure (unlikely with the bigger players, but nothing is impossible) Point being however you store data - be it cloud or locally, if you only have one copy it should be viewed as data at risk, and you are the one who must manage the risk.
