But I need to download this so badly!! And does this mean it's not THAT hard to convert a 32-bit app or game to 64-bit in the end?

I have this game and they are only a little better than before in 64 bit mode and i heard ig your computer has a low space available memory wise it can be laggy.

Not really, the only thing FarCry had going for it was the draw distance. The better "graphics" were just better textures, which can be downloaded on some FarCry mod site for the 32bit of FC.

There's no retail version of it though, so you can't buy it in just any store. You'll only be able to get it in places that sell OEM software.

maybe ill go out and buy a sound card (that has 64bit drivers available) and install 64bit again now that steam will be releasing some 64bit ver of games

uhhhh ... almost all soundcards have 64bit drivers now... ever heard of google? or cehcking teh vendors website for the drivers? :whistle:

excactly all they did was change textures. and you can do the same on 32 bit

and FPS went down in 64bit HL2

What was so funny? I have my copy of it sitting right on top of my desk right now, in the DVD case it came in. It may surprise you, but some people actually own the copies of windows they use.
