drshdw
Happens every so often now, just recently, only restarting it fixes it. Pretty randomly occurs too. Like I'll be moving my mouse around, and the cursor freezes. The mouse still moves with an invisible cursor, I can click, etc. Is my mouse dying or something? I'm pretty sure it's not the video drivers since I've had the 81.95s on my 6600 for quite a while now. Should I RMA this mouse? It's getting pretty annoying. I read about this in Logitech's forums of other people having a similar problem, but theres was confined to a game that had a hardware cursor, but mine's occuring in Windows XP SP2. This also happens with SetPoint on and off. =\ Any help? Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/411713-mx518-invisible-mouse-cursor/ Share on other sites
mgleason007
Call Logitech, their customer service is awesome. They sent me a free mx510 when mine arrived DOA from zipzoomfly. They wanted me to send it back at first but I told him the mouse only cost me $15 and that would be a waste. I got a brand new replacement in less than a week. miniM3
have the same mouse for about 5 months now. never had a problem with a dissapearing cursor. If it was working ok from the start then try to remember what was the last thing you did before mouse problems start. Probably a driver conflict? Jesse Carlton
wouldn't be a hardware problem. cursor's generated by xp, not the mouse. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/411713-mx518-invisible-mouse-cursor/#findComment-586962942 Share on other sites
drshdw
Nothing has changed for a while, this only started to happen after I moved my computer a really really long distance. I guess I'll give Logitech a call and see. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/411713-mx518-invisible-mouse-cursor/#findComment-586963843 Share on other sites

Marduk
Don't worry about it, its a VIDEO Driver problem believe it or not, I scoured the web for the answer and thats what I came up with, if you don't want to upgrade your drivers to the newest(which don't have this bug (81.98) then just go into your mouse properties and select mouse trails enabled.
