hey,

If it isn't against neowin rules, could somebody zip the user accounts pictures folder in windows vista? You could probably find it here:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Microsoft\User Account Pictures

or

%SystemDrive%:\Users\Public\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\User (linky)

Well, the folder (for Dec CTP build 5270) is:

%SystemDrive%:\ProgramData\Microsoft\User Account Pictures\Default Pictures

BUT that just contains the default WinXP bmps. The newer Vista style pics must be somewhere else, but I haven't seen where.

Hopefully, someone else has better luck.

Arent the pictures a part of the shell? I always thought they were built in and didnt think they had a actual file destenation folder.

You could always take a screenshot of each picture (a pain in the a$$).

That's what I was thinking; but it wouldn't be that hard... even XP has a screen to chose your picture, and they're all 50x50. So just take a screenie of that dialog, and post it. (Y)

In fact, this feature is broken in Vista 5270 (as they're remaking control panel) and to change your picture, you'll need to change the default picture file (the flower from XP) to another 50x50 picture. So the only one is the stupid flower from XP

Don't remember where I read this though.
